Two Molasses Smoothie Recipes

I’ve had a ton of smoothies lately thanks to a jaw pain flare-up.  The other day out of boredom with the usual fruit flavors, I remembered that molasses exists!  Here are the recipes for two of my current favorite smoothies:

Molasses & Malt Smoothie

Ingredients:

milk (about 1 cup)
malt powder (about 1 Tbsp)                                                                                                               olive oil* (about 1 Tbsp)
ice cream (1-2 scoops)
molasses (about 1 tsp)

→ Mix in your blender and enjoy!

Sunflower Seed Butter & Molasses Smoothie

Ingredients:

milk (about 1 cup)
olive oil* (about 1 Tbsp)
sunflower seed butter (2 Tbsp)
molasses (about 1 tsp)
**optional: ice cream (1-2 scoops) for extra calories or vanilla instant breakfast powder (1 packet) for extra protein

→ Mix in your blender and enjoy!

*I add olive oil because I need as many calories as I can get, and it has the added bonus of being anti-inflammatory.  If you don’t want the calories, feel free to leave it out.
